Performance Reviews - Performance Evaluations and Reviews are conducted every six months. Merit-based pay adjustments are awarded to recognize truly superior employee performance.
Education
Expenses - Courses taken in order to meet continuing education requirements for CPAs and CPA candidates will be paid for by the Firm.
CPA Review Course - The Firm provides a comprehensive CPA Review Course to compliment the professional development measures toward passing the CPA Examinations.
CPA License Fees - All professional staff are encouraged to pass the CPA exam. The Firm will reimburse the CPA license fee.
CPA License Bonus - Earn a $1,000 cash bonus upon receipt of a CPA license.

Community Involvement - Brown Armstrong encourages involvement in the local community by participating in various charitable events, fundraisers, and organizations. The Brown Armstrong name is known and respected in our community, and is a Firm you can be proud to be part of.
Professional Dues - The partners feel that it is very important to get involved in the community and professional groups and will, therefore, reimburse employees for costs incurred for such memberships or meetings.
Profit Sharing 401(K) - Employees are eligible for participation after 90 days of employment, with open enrollment in January and July of each calendar year. Employees are eligible to receive an allocation of employer matching contribution after completion of at least 1,000 hours of service during the plan year and are employed on the last day of the plan year.
Flexible Spending Accounts - Flexible spending accounts for child and health care are available.
Medical Insurance - The Firm provides group medical. The entire cost of employee coverage is paid by the Firm for all eligible employees with dependent coverage available through payroll deduction. Group medical eligibility is 30 days. Life insurance eligibility is 90 days.
Other Voluntary Benefits - Dental and Vision Insurance is also available and can be paid pre-tax through the Firm’s cafeteria plan. Coverage begins after 90 days of employment.
Anniversary Lunch - Annual anniversary lunch with a partner. Gives employees the opportunity to discuss their progress and career goals.
Monthly Staff Lunch - The Firm treats its employees to lunch once per month for the opportunity to get together to catch up and build camaraderie. Lunch location rotates each month.
Disability Income - Disability income (AFLAC) is available to employees who wish to use it when needed. Available after 90 days of employment.
Holidays - There are 9 paid holidays throughout the year for eligible employees, including: 1/2 day on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, the day of and day after Thanksgiving, and Income Tax day.
Vacation - Vacation time off with pay is available to eligible employees to provide opportunities for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits. Employees with 1-5 years with the Firm receive 10 days of paid vacation. After 5 years, employees receive 15 days. Vacation accrual begins after 90 days of employment.
Sick Leave - Eligible employees receive 6.5 days of sick leave per calendar year, earned at the rate of 2 hours per pay period.
Bereavement Leave - Employees who wish to take time off due to a death in the immediate family may take up to 3 paid days.
